Negotiations, advocacy, leadership.
Stephen Parry is an experienced leader, negotiator, advocate and facilitator. He has occupied leadership positions, since he was 24 years of age, culminating in 23 years being the chief executive of a District Council. He also spent a term as Mayor of Waitomo District Council—the only person in the past 40 years to hold the separate positions of Mayor and chief executive at two District Councils.
A qualified lawyer holding an LLB ( Hons) from Otago University, Stephen has been involved in complex negotiations covering infrastructure, property, employment, resource management and the hardest of all, reaching a funding agreement with ten unwilling parties to remove aluminium dross from Southland warehouses.
